Jack's Apple Festival

Jack's Shop Kitchen hosted our first Apple Festival on Saturday, November 4th, in collaboration with Thornton River Orchard (Sperryville, VA). The main event was a community pie contest, for which individuals baked an apple pie and then pies were sold by the slice after the judging. All proceeds benefited the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which provides support to families of fallen military personnel and severely wounded military personnel; a total of $300 was donated from the event. Thanks to all contestants who entered the pie contest, and to everyone who stopped by! Check out all of the entries in the slideshow, and keep your eye out for a Peach Pie Contest in the spring!
